Greenie...there is a certian degree of competitveness as well as affinity between Scottish and Irish people. However (Enver Hendrix may elaborate more on this) There is a divide based upon religious lines...I think you're more ok with Irish/Scottish connections if you're of Catholic origin, but align yourself more with England if Protestant. It's not a straightforward thing, but we're all Celts, only variations on a theme...kilts being one of those symbols of uniqueness.
