Yes indeed, great point of reference, using David Gray's most recent success. Being the huge David Gray fan that I am. I was an early buyer of "White Ladder" when it was originaly released in the UK indipendently. I purchased it via the internet. Then the record took off in Ireland, the momentum spilled back over to the UK and the record was re-released on a major label in the UK/ Europe and Dave Matthews' label, ATCO in the US. One of those special moments/stories of justified success. David Baerwald should have the same!!!
On your problems with the Street Team at Lost Highway, well, as they say,"Get In Line!". Most of the people on this board have already read my coments regarding this matter. I feel your pain, dude! THEY SUCK!!! Sorry if I'm offending any of you out there! I am not refering to the Label as a whole. I am just upset with their 'so-called' promotional team. "Hello folks!, you made a shit-load of money off that little "Cohen Bros. soundtrack!!!" Now spend a little cash in getting your lesser known artist on the road! Spend a little more cash(aka time), with fans trying to help out!
Oh god, here I go again, I'd better shut me trap, before I dig the hole any deeper! Please folks, I mean no offense, by any of comments regarding this matter. I am not trying to alienate myself from my fellow David Baerwald supporters! Forgive me, I'm just really bitter about this.
