Third - I did not program the random quote section - Pat did. The code for that section more or less cycles through the quotes. There are no schemes in place to censor or limit what pops up - save the fact that you must be registered to post a quote. Keep in mind that the DBis gets a few thousand hits a day - yesterday there were over 8000 hits - so the cycling might loop around faster than you think
Yeah that thing was totally random. For a while there I thought no new quotes were getting in but I was wrong on that, they are. For a time I had a KDB filter keeping all of those out but even Dan in a sympathetic mode lifted that one. I still thinks he lurks up here because before he left he re-invented himself a couple of times. I'm heavy into conspiracy theory you know.
