The Republicans want a guy they like and as it stands right now they don't have one.
Rudy Giuliani (or Rudy J as Pat likes to call him...sorry couldn't help that, you just really had me laughing with that one, Pat) has more skeletons in his closet than all of the candidates in the last 10 years combined. He just won't make it and the Republicans don't really want him because he could care less about placating Christians or anyone else for that matter. He comes across as kind of a nutcase too...never good for a presidential candidate.
Romney seems to be someone they really did like but the fact that he's an empty suit, never means anything he says and seems to think that's just fine may have caught up with him.
I think the problem with Hagel is he's another guy they just don't really want running for president.
The big movement on the Republican side seems to be this Fred Thompson guy. It's been my guess that Pat will soon be on the Thompson bandwagon and Rudy J will be an afterthought.
If Hillary is on the Dems ticket I am not voting Democrat. Can't do it and they will lose if that's the case. In recent polls Rudy or McCain beat her in Massachussetts.
Edwards was who I thought would be the guy but this cancer thing is just a disaster. It's all a mess now.
