I wasn't blasting the article - I'm all for people living in a safer environment to grow and prosper. I was just disgusted at the perceived moral authority the pro-war movement has taken as of late. We are not going to invade and occupy Iraq to liberate a people. We are invading and occupying Iraq to create a physical American presence in the Middle East. You might like that idea - I don't. And while you're so gung-ho about freedom and democracy - let's take a look at Turkey. Here's a country (a Muslim sorta-democracy) where an overwhelming majority of the population strongly oppose military action against Iraq - yet we waltz in with fat wallets and promises of even fatter wallets if we could just bend that will a little bit. How's that freedom of the people? Answer me that ILIKEBUSH (AKA Pat Brown).
