Nothing I’ve ever said implied we should be over-legislated. On the contrary we’re far far over-legislated as it is, I agree completely, …so get that outa your head, GM. When I suggest “common sense” I mean just that: The same common sense that says…don’t poke at the rattlesnake also says don’t shit in a river. …& just how freaking cash wealthy is too ludicrously cash wealthy for anybody’s own good? …& how much of the sum total of people and seas and forests are fodder to the pigs on the wings? …& what’s the point of legislators when they’ve seized to function as representatives of the people; why not just have everybody of legal voting age fill out a quarterly net.based questionnaire that will count as votes towards every important USA matter going down at the time. Let the people of the house & senate, etc. figure out another way to make a living other than fleecing the very folks they deem unworthy of the truth & whole good health & viability. But if you don’t legislate the richest movers and shakers, they’ll eat you outa house & home. Look at Big Energy for instance. Anybody who didn’t know that deregulating (privatizing) natural gas and the like would be a bad, a very bad, thing, is well aware of it now…and paying out their asses in hugely over inflated heating costs. Here it is again, common sense: Laws that protect the basic human rights of the citizenry are meaningful and a necessity for the ballance of meaningful order a nation needs to sustain any level of viability & freedom, …but laws designed, at the core, to guarantee the revenue streams and pipelines of the fattest fat cats & the movingest movers & shakers, and the gavel bangers for the remunerations game & their heirs are ALL bad, not just some…but ALL.
Unheard of in an ideal world where there is welcome room on the bus for both the very driven and affluent as well as the very sleepy and chill & slightly beer buzzed brick layer on the couch resting at home on Saturday evening after a 40 turned 60 hour work week
“…precisely because it is recognized that men need to believe in something bigger than themselves…”
See now that’s the bummer of a certain measure of God Said Man Said premise, ol Greeny ol pal: If one takes literally [to the very core] that God, on the 7th day, created MAN and said it was goooooood…so go now MAN & git with it, git with all a your original sinnin’ and subduin’, get some ass and take take take until it’s all taken-up, because YOU are MAN and YOU are highest~~just below the Deity~~above all else, then in the 21st century we find ourselves “right” here in the quagmire we’re in. & then that would make God fallible, …and therefore all creation must have seized to exist. But we’re still here, bro, and it is MAN that is fallible…& therefore not as well-equipped to read truth into ancient parables as well as he thinketh he can. There was once a people who put many many things above themselves…& they were goooood and those who put God above themselves and these people below themselves wiped them out in the name of the God they put above all things. & I just don’t believe that was your Creator’s plan at all. NO, that was ego & greed, fear & distrust, flags & ownership, the desire to get a piece of ass without putting the bearer of that fine young ass above the notions of getting-off and getting on with more subjugation.
In one man’s eyes there’s MAN at the top and all else below, so that means if MAN is to see anything higher than his grandiose self, it must be God. Has to be God, …& therefore his word is your word and thus all shall heed YOUR word or parish into dust.
But there are far greater things than man on this earth…if one is to just stop and look around. To take into consideration that although a red tail hawk can be shot out of the sky with a high powered rifle & scope, …it will be up there soaring on it’s own born physical attributes, breathing the cool blue sky (far greater in some ways than man), at the moment the lead tears is birdflesh apart. So if man is to see greater things than himself, he is only to open his eyes and see all Creation and all living things…both big and small…. Not a sun which revolves around a planet, not 7 days of creation when so more likely millions have turned, but something far far bigger than the human consciousness can grasp, & thus more worthy of unrepressed awe than of pecking-order and moot definition.
