First of all, thanks for backing off the whole 'anti-American' thing. That phrase has been tossed around entirely too much in the past eighteen months.
I understand where you're coming from, although I think there's a difference between posting a satirical essay and advocating a boycott of French products. Don't you? I did find DB's reaction to it surprisingly overboard, but hey, whatever. These are dispiriting times.
