Actually, DLR was just a guest, it was the musicians behind him that put the album together of all VH covers.

It's a shame too because there are some master players in that lot and their talent, IMHO, is totally wwasted on this tripe.

On the mando is John Jorgenson who is a master guitarist and frequently tours with his Quintete playing gypsy jazz and songs of Django Reinhardt. The viola player is Stephan Dudash, also of the John Jorgenson Quintet. If you saw them live, minus the VH material, they would make your jaw drop. On the banjo we have Scott Vestal who is currently in the Sam Bush Band and is probably on of the most progressive banjo players out there next to Bela Fleck. Scott also builds some wicked banjos. http://www.stealthbanjo.com/

I think that is Barry Bales of Alison Kraus's band on bass, couldn't really get a good look at everyone.

Anyways, in this setting, DLR makes these guys seem like a joke but, believe me, they are far from it.
