Have you used an MP3 'levelling' program? A program that levels the audio for your 'nefarious' MP3's?
I use Music Match to my MP3's to regular CD's. DanO used to hasstle me that tracks would have different volume levels. Are you talking a player leveller or a recorder leveller.
Marc/Pat -
What was your first computer? At school, mine was a Pet and at home a Commodore 64 - along with the pokes and peeks - I learned how to program, and, because of it's soundchip - the mechanical aspects of sound - ADSR - Attack / Decay \ Sustain - Release_
I did not have a computer till the days of the PC AT and then it was a Clone (like 1985) . Funny story I bought a car the other day and once I told the salesmen I was in IT and he talked my ear off. Seems he was a geek in the late 80's and invented either XModem or YModem protocols. Quite the character.
The 1st computer I worked on during school was the TRS-80
