The way to have fought this is like a cold war. Problem is that we have so much economic interest in Saudi Arabia that we can't really "attack" on the most prominent "front." I've seen the appalling lack of work ethic in Saudi, though. It's interesting to me that we didn't do more to head off this problem before it really took root.
