I think we've shown them (the Iraqis) that 1+1=chair. There's a fundamental misunderstanding at play - you better get used to it - they may not WANT democracy - how will you enforce it? How long? Where's the respect? McCain maybe right - we'll be back in the scope of a broader conflict..whether we walk out or not.

I think we've undone a 'grannies' shoelace knot of tribes that may well result in a conflagration in which we (a league of notions) may become irretrievably enmeshed.
