I know of no relation, and my ancestry has been traced back to Latvia circa 1906.
My family name is not Goldberg, it's Kravitz. The Goldberg moniker was applied at Ellis Island. Apparently they wanted to see how many pages of the phone directory could be filled with that surname. Next time you are in NYC take a look at the white pages - it's hilarious.
