Obvious?  Repubs have been forewarning dire circumstances if the Democrats gain the majority in Congress.  The terrorists will have a blank check if the Left is in charge.  A vote for a Democratic candidate is a vote for Bin Laden (who is conveniently still at large.  hmmmm....)  All that crap.

Conveniently forgetting that the time we got hit, the right had been in charge for what, 7 years?  But that time, it was Clinton's fault, even with a Republican Congress.

So whose responsibility was it?  The liberal in the White House, or the Conservatives on the Hill?  For if it was Clinton's fault then, it will be Bush's fault the next time, not Congress.  You can't have it both ways, even when using the pathetic, backwards-ass logic that you've come to rely on.
