i voted absentee, but neighbors spoke of the same or comparable machine. if a machine exists that provides a factual paper trail & is user friendly, seemingly as close to an honest vote as possible, with an assistant at every booth, then it would seem more straightforward if this were the national machine/procedure? no?
this is not the case though; ...money to be made, contractual obligations, o-bladi-bla-da bullschit, a modicum of duress/arm twisting, etc. account for the nonesense &/or potential slight-of-hand. that hint of doubt that is not provided in the Constitution.
rigged or not, hap-hap-happy day at the polls for us democratic Americans it may be, ...but this is not our grandfathers' mid-term election day. &, in a way, it damn well should be.
peace.
