If I could play guitar half as good as he, I’d shut up and play; …save my vocal chords. But because I can’t, I’m forced to do what I’m better at: songwriting & voice ~ although these are very much subjective to personal preference as well.
My point is: The cat can play. Corporate associations or not. I can sit transfixed through one of his jams but can’t make it all the way through one of his albums. I don’t know, what does it take to further a poignant rock & roll endeavor these days? A great big lot of new music is fodder to the briefest notions of the-test-of-time…& seems, as many here have said, to be relegated to commercialistic censorship: The deadening of our thoughts.
