Well maybe.  Back to our chat about JM.  I did buy (gulp) Continuum...at a Starbucks, no less.  Shame, shame...how corporate an evening I did spend.

I liked it, not overwhelmed but some very decent songs.  Really, he has got a fabulous soul voice and I kept hearing little twinges of Marvin Gaye in parts.  But...(and believe me it pains me to say it..) he really did a great job on Axis, Bold as Love by Jimi Hendrix.  Normally, I think his Hendrix copies are awful.  What he did, was turn it into a soulful old style R and B tune, and it really worked for me.  Gnarly blues guitar solo. 

So, OK, John...now your 15 minutes is really up, pal.  Time to find a real job.  And, I promise never to say anything more about young Mr.Mayer again.
