Yeah, one machine.  The thing is that if you want to do the deed, you need to open up all the machines, and change the results without being noticed.  And you have to do it in concert with like-minded folks in all of the precincts at about the same time of day.  

How do you organize such a mission without being caught?  I mean, you can go to jail if just one person rats you out.

As scary as this is, I think that it takes too many people involved to accomplish the deed.  When the day comes that one person, some DBA (database administrator) has the power (and administration rights) to make "batch" changes - that's when we need to be worried.

One machine at a time?  Too clumsy to be effective. 

Or so it seems to me.
