A few years ago my better half went windsurfing in Isla Margarita. Had a wonderful time, but while there a lot of the evening talk was about Chavez. He said that ultimately everyone came back to saying that Chavez was insane. 3 months after he returned he found on his credit card bill a charge for thousands of Bolivars. He was able to get it removed easily because the charge was made 2 months after he had left. We thought all was well, changing the card number, etc, etc, only to have thousands more charged 3 months after that and having to go through the whole rigamarole again.
