I can say that I do respect his work over the years and the strength to standup admirably to proclaim his opinion. Done much better than most politicians and activists. Better done than most on this board could ever do too.
I don't agree with your estimation buddy...there was nothing particulary erudite or insightful about what he said. It isn't a new message, or even a particularly interesting one. He just had access to an audience. There are people on this board as intelligent if not more so than him (both conservative and liberal). He simply has a platform that Lee, Cassandra and others of intelligence do not have, because he is musically gifted. But he's an old fart like the Stones and Bono. Remember that the woman who interviewed him made him look good because of her willingness to be stupid. Read the opening scenes of the Bhagavad Gita...or Sheakespeare. All the world's a stage...blah blah blah...Brad can ya help him? Remember it was Americans who voted for Bush? Loads of them, shit loads of them...groan...EEE...?
