I think immigration if anything, needs to be tightened.  And that's not rascist, it's practical.  If people immigrate legally and qualify for naturalization,  fine.  But I am opposed to giving automatic citizenship to people who immigrate illegally, even if they have already established work relations here.  There needs to be due process.  On this one, I am with Bush (so far).   We've got to find jobs for Americans first (all races),and make sure they get earned social benefits, before the borders are opened any wider.  When I applied for my citizenship back in 2001, it was a real eye opener.  Everybody gets in, and I don't know how.   I was the only English speaking/writing person in my group (kidding...but it was pretty close).   I really don't know how so many of them passed the written test, especially the US history section.  And the immigration officer I had for my application was a real sonovabitch.  Despite my background, qualifications and fluency in English, he treated me like some creature from another planet, and was he ever fucking rude.  I wonder how he treated other candidates.   He was BLACK and I'm WHITE.   So...is that RASCIST?
