A & E will be airing "Murderball" tomorrow at 10pm eastern.A documentary looking at the world of "quad-rugby".The sport features quadripegic athletes in specialized wheelchairs plaing full contact rugby in a gymnasium.
It'll give you a look at how some of us quads tackle everyday challenges, and try to be as independant as possible.Even though I haven't been healthy enough in recent years to participate in sports.Seeing this film made me want to re-affirm the statement "I broke my neck not my brain."
Check it out if you can. Also if anyone caught the closing ceremonies of the Olympics,it featured Vancouver's quadriplegic mayor (and my peer mentor) taking the Olympic flag. The Olympics will be here in 2010.It was cool to have the world see just how "able" some of us "disabled" people can be.
