So does that mean Israel (in your opinion) would start WW 3, or the US would start WW 3 using Israel to start WW 3?

What it means is that, in my opinion, the United States and its politics and policy has with fairly evident disregard of all possible outcomes worked to establish a situation whereby Israel (whose policy and politics are also very questionable) is positioned to begin what could only be described as a disastrous assault on its neighbors. Thereby heightening the tensions in a region where brinksmanship is a way of life. Why I ask, and have asked in the past, would our government actively seek to create such a situation? We then, laughably, question why tensions there are so high and talk of wishing to create peace in the Middle East. It's a situation I find absolutely Strangelovian but also outrageously obscene. Would Israel start WW3?  I don't know but why continue, when as you pointed out they already have the firepower to wipe their neighbors off the map, to stack the deck in favor of their doing so?

I don't think I mis-interpreted your drift. If so, go ahead and explain what you meant.

If I can't openly present my dissatisfaction with our government's practices and policy or Israel's practices and policy...tell me please...how that elephant in the room got in?!?

Quite simply these accusations you keep throwing at me when I mention Israel's place in the grand geopolitical scheme of things are the equivalent of the filthy bottom feeders in this country accusing me and anyone else that questions the actions of Bushco of taking the side of terrorism and questioning our patriotism. I have never made an anti-Israeli remark and I have never even directly addressed their governments policy or practices in any meaningful way...it has always been in the context of the United States government's actions in the region...yet I am being accused of being anti-Israel.

You don't think much of Israel's current government. OK, I'll accept that as not necessarily equivalent of being anti-Israel. Point taken.

Thank you. Due to the fact that I like and respect you, I hope you can understand that it is somewhat painful to me when you accuse me of being anti-Israel...jesus, I don't feel that I'm anti-any country and to be so to me indicates a level of ignorance I hope never to achieve.

But you have posted other statements in the past that I interpreted as anti-Israel in sentiment.

I know you saw it that way but I am not anti-Israel. I reserve the right though to be critical of any government's policy or practice. I did grow up in a country where that sort of free speech was at one point admired. I know now it's frowned upon and our flag, when once it waved to proclaim our freedom, has been corrupted to wave as a symbol of support to tyranny, greed, and injustice but I guess I'm just old fashioned and backward thinking.

Sorry if I strayed a bit in that last paragraph but reading some other threads currently on the board here probably infected my chain of thought. I am sincere though when I tell you I am not anti-any country.
