Well..when you put anyone before Norah they're gonna seem like a turd in a punchbowl compared to her.
Actually John was the headliner.

But I agree. I have some live recordings of his, and seen video of him live, and it verges on lame sometimes. As I said earlier, he was handpicked by the suits to be the next best thing...and he delivered record sales, so be it. All power to John. Now for a real hoot...check out his new "blues" trio. Sad, very sad. My prediction, is it will tank and with a nosedive. I also have a recording of him trying to do (and I do mean trying to do) a copy of Wind Cries Mary. He doesn't even play the correct chords.... Put it 'dis way...my version is mo' better. To his credit, he does do a decent Stevie Ray imitation, vocals and guitar. He's got that Stevie tone down pat. But I'm a sucker for candy. I loved his first CD. Great pop tunes, a little bubblegummy at times, but, I'm comin' clean on this one. There were also a couple on the 2nd one I really liked. So, John Mayer is not going away any time soon. Plus, he's so cute!
Austin is one artists after another trying to be SRV. Frankly I already hate the blues so he could be a barn burner and I could care less. There are so many artists out there much more talented than John that I think his 30 minutes maybe up

Sincerely,

Jane
