Of course part of the problem here is that the above amendment, in the eyes of many, reads pretty much like our dear president's unfortunate jumble. I imagine the person who asked the question that started this thread nodded right along as if understanding every word, as did a large percentage of the small percentage of our population who bothered to hear.
Wasn't it Jefferson who said "where the press is free and every man able to read, all is secure"? I do wonder about current definitions of words like "press" and "free" and "able to read."
