GM's quote: C'mon Peter, you're living in the past. Do you want to be a slave in the future. Or just dead.
GM is again making reference to my doubting the veracity of the Bible. We've been down this road a few times, GM, but, given that I may well be a slave for eternity, please answer these questions, and do not cite scripture in your response. Please don't! I want you to answer in your words.I want to understand your thought process.
Do you believe the Bible is entirely factually accurate? If not, how do you decide which parts are allegory and which parts accurately depict history? And what do you make of good-willed people who don't see things your way? And what do you make of a god who would leave so many things open to misinterpretations that lead to so many misunderstandings, deaths, and assorted ttragedies?
How do you pick and choose which Biblical tenents to follow? Surely you don't follow all of those Old Testament admonitions? Again, no scripture, I want to hear what you have to say, and how you work things out in your mind.
Peter T.
