Green asked - Is Pat still keen on GWBush being saintly?

Sounds like it from his last post....point the finger at everyone but the man in charge.
I did not give him a pass Dan but if you follow the chain of command in what happened in New Orleans you would find
incompetence at both the Mayor and Governor. Lets say
Kerry had pulled this. I would want an explanation from all 3 just as I do now. What exactly was the reason it took almost 5 days to bring in sufficient Nation Guard.  If you got fingers pointing GW's way I got two more point at the State level incompetance

Pat - You have a disaster that encompasses at least three states and many many cities and small towns - and you want to blame the mayor of one city and the Dem. gov of one of the states. Can you explain that? Can you explain why GW was posing for pictures with a guitar in hand while people in NOLA (and I'm sure other cities managed by mayors not from NOLA and governors not from LA) suffered without things like food and water and a modicum of safety? Your post also throws a little blame at FEMA. Who staffed that agency with former campaign staffers? Who thought it'd be good thing to have a disaster agency headed by someone with zero disaster preparedness training?

And you still think GW wasn't directly complicit in the deaths of so many people?
I'm not defending him at all. But the blame is not entirely with him but that is not what you want to believe so be it.
