Looking forward to getting your cd too; glad that you received the disc and are enjoying it too.  Folks, I KNOW that some (maybe all) of the songs you won't enjoy, but hey, you git what' cha git.  I received Pat's disc yesterday and was enjoying the tunes on it last night as well as here at work today too (shhhhhhhh...).  I've only gotten about 5 or 6 peoples discs yet, and am hoping more will pour in before the weekend for some great music to enjoy for along weekend at home.

I really learned about some things the way people handle the burn cds, and I am NOT criticizing anyone but myself here.  And that is the way that some people put sooo much effort into the packaging, it blew me away and I loved it.  If I had it to do over again for round 1, I would've done something more creative than the "recycled" job that I did on the back of some DHL packaging and a hand-written cover (note: I did get tired at the end and some got the cheesy caricature-drawing cover with the generic print job).  Anyways, it's just so nice how everyone took the time to do so.  I know that everyone has their own opinions, especially when it comes to politics and religion (hmmm, sounds like a song), but it's grand how we can all put our differences aside and glom onto some great music.  So just remember, when we don't agree with one another, are spatting off at one another in hatred feelings in caps, music does have certain cinergy/energy about it that we can put our differences aside as friends.  Hmmm...maybe that's what the world needs more of; arts, music...oh, that's right...they keep taking that out of the schools here in IN everytime you turn around; so very sad indeed.  Really.

pause...long pause....

I used to be on the early Steve Earle message boards, and was lucky enough to meet a lively lady via those boards named Dinah Moro from across the pond.  We traded music and food items back and forth (yes, food!).  Anyways, she turned me on to Crowded House and I had a couple of 'boots' that she made for me.  Seeing the discs that Kathryn from down under sent, I was pleasantly surprised to receive 2 discs, and love the music thus far!  But, I also appreciate the lengthy letter and photo of her two girls and husband too.  Just puts a little more personal touch on the whole thing, and getting to know a dabble about someone, whether they're a Christian or not, hate our gov't or not, etc.  (By the way Kathryn, please, tell me that the dessert in the photo was some special event and not just an ordinary-day-of-the-week cake that you made; I'm envious).

Damn, this is the most I ever have rambled as Maddog or Mudsock on the board.  I guess the holiday's 'round the corner.  Nah, it's the music and the love.

Make it a GREAT day!
