The point being that those folks were operating from a place of fear based on skewed information, with visions of mushroom clouds dancing in their heads.

This government absolutely loves the fact that no matter what they do there is this "we really need to just get past this" mentality that continues to forgive and forget. ( unless of course Bill Clinton did it )
