Which begs the larger question..why oh why would anybody want to keep somebody who is in a persistent vegetative state..persistently vegetative? And why would anyone sign an advance directive allowing life sustaining measures should they fall into a vegetative state due to illness or trauma? Where is the logic? I see it as a non-issue, but...
