actually Reg that was much along the lines of the reponse I would have given you to your previous post. His tactic WAS similar (and intentional) to the Fuck You! thing that I did to you a while back. And Churchill did probably put his life in danger by doing it. At the very least he DID spark controversy and debate (whether it works for him though remains to be seen). But unlike what I did to you, Churchill put the reputation of UC and his responsibility to his students in jeoprody. That part is what irked me the most about his essay. Other than that, I can sort of sympathize with the guy having native american roots and an understandable contempt for what he feels our government is doing in the middle east these days. I'm sure he feels that it's the same thing we did to his people during our rush to conquer America. For all I know he may be right, at least to some degree, but I can't extend a lot of respect to some professor that's being paid to be writing for the benefit of his constituents as opposed to writing to enrage an entire nation. I just don't see any benefit from his shock talk for anyone. And as David rightly pointed out, it's a slippery and dangerous slope of a tactic. Frankly, in Chuchill's case, I don't think it was worth the risk he took.
