"Based on what I've seen, his convictions tend to be fairly temporary--except where donors are concerned. What am I missing?
Jeff,
Since he's been president I don't see that he's been wishy washy or 'temporary' in his actions. I'm sure you could site several missteps for me but overall I'm I think he's doing an acceptable job.
I'm quite certain the elimination of partial birth abortion is on his agenda along with the nomination of some conservative voices to the bench. That alone gives me reason to continue to support him.
I'm not unhappy with his efforts in the Middle East. I think he's doing all that he can to get at the root of the problem although I think it may all be a waste of time and money but we have to try. What happens when the suicide bombers regroup within our shores and we've made no attempt to halt them because the doves in our country don't want war? I don't pretend to have any idea what goes on behind the scenes but I trust he's not putting his personal interests before the nations.
I don't know what his motives are. Do you?
I see Saddamm as being a very destabilizing force in the Middle East and I think he's right to require the inspections of Iraq which never should have been stopped. I'm impressed with his resolve to make the inspections happen. Maybe you disagree.
It all comes down to politics and I don't doubt that this administration cuts deals with the devil like any other administration has to reach what they believe to be a greater good. It's the world we live in.
