Sounds like a mid-death crisis to me.

There's more music than ever to choose from, so complaining about having nothing new to listen to really comes down to one thing. Get off your complacent ass and go try something new. Go to a live show, and if the band puts on a good show, buy a CD. Repeat weekly, not weakly.

You can also find web sites that will match your historical tastes with new bands. Again, get off your ass.

Steve Earle is beating a dead horse? Whatever. How can anyone say that after listening to Jerusalem and The Revolution Starts Now?
