Isn't it weird that George Bush's popularity can crash so badly because of his ridiculous performance last Thursday when his whole performance as President never elicited the same response from some significant peercentage of voters?

No, I don't think it's that odd. I mean I think the great majority of people pay little to no attention to what our polticians are doing until they have to or until they do something that directly has an impact on them. I think a lot of people were not paying attention to this election until the debates showed up on tv...then it became an "event" for them and our culture is event driven I think. Plus Bush just tanked when he was up there and this debate was supposed to be the easiest one for him. This was the debate where he could wrap himself in the flag and play up how he's a "war president" and he's protecting our nation and leading us to victory against the evil brown heathen hordes. Oops...

Who are these undecided voters the networks keep parading after the debates? Jesus, they're like personality disordered- attention seeking oddities. They're being flown to New York, put up in hotels, and the longer they hold out the longer they get the Royal Treatment. "I just can't decide. Say, can I have a little more of that Chardonnay please?"

I'd say they are exactly who you say they are.

Does anyone really care what they think about anything?

Nope.
