I don't let my daughter hear everything that Eminem releases - I use my cd burner to make compilations from his releases that omit tracks such as Amityville, Remember Me and Guilty Conscience.

You hit the nail on the head - she's going to ultimately listen to it anyway. I can provide her with some music she's interested in, we talk about what the songs mean, and laugh like fools at the outrageous humor they contain. It's like drinking alcohol - I can forbid her from ever touching it, or I can responsibly ease her into an occasional beer or glass of wine (before y'all get your panties in a bunch I'm not going to do that for several years!).  

And yes, there was a part of the film where I covered her eyes.
