I'm pretty sure the 'comfortable pair of jeans' called violence that Kevin spoke of was the violence that existed on a daily and generalized basis under Sadaam's autocratic regime. I read that he was trying to emphasize why many Iraqis would find it hard to deal with and assimilate 'democracy' and 'freedom,' being so accustomed as they were to violence. Nuthin' like bein' born in the USA.
