Mr.SRB,

As the board's resident drummer, I have a question or two. I know nothing about the intricacies of drumming, I only know what sounds good and looks cool (or perhaps it's the other way around). Anyway, have you ever seen Midnight Oil and its drummer, Rob Hirst? I have never been so impressed by the sheer physicality of a drumming performance as I was by his. If you have seen him, how does he stack up? Also, have you ever seen Max Weinberg during a Springsteen show? I've seen the Mighty Max over 30 times and am always bowled over by the sustained power he puts out. Any opinion? Also, do drummers get paid more than, oh, say bass players? It seems only fair that they get a bigger piece of the monetary pie given the energy expended (and this is not a shameless ploy to ingratiate myself to you, Mr. SRB).
