"My problem with this subject is when these little girls get all tarted up --- twelve, going on thirty. And then, some people wonder why these girls get date raped or pregnant or worse. " - Kent
You may want to choose your words and phrasing carefully Kent. The statement infers that simply early development or fashion choices can be reason enough to treat them as sex objects. I am confident this is not your intent, nor do I mean to infer that it is, but that "they had it coming" mentality is just so wrong. Respect for each human being is sorely lacking these days. But when sex sells everything what else can the result be other than objectification and degradation of the individual.
And you make an excellent point about Jon Benet, I think selfish parents who force their kids into these shallow, inappropriate events need to to reexamine their own parental failings before investing their kids with their own misguided benchmarks for success. Its as if they are breeding newscasters for the next generation.
When the Olsen Twins turn 18 (in 38 days, 22 hours or so) only then is society truly free to imagine them any way they wish. Like say in a big hit movie or as smart independent and shrewd business women/entertainers.
For a sad (head shaking) laugh, or as an example of true sickness type "Olsen twins countdown" into your goggle search.
And what of the parents who have children in order to create donors for their other children with disabilities or illness. Is this morally correct?? Is this a chiold born of love or selfishness??
I know I'm all over the road today...mmmmm coffee.
No liable is intended in any of the above statements.
