I'm going to ignore gatkinson's puffery and change the topic on him: any Sinatra fans on the board? I've been delving into the mid-fifties Capitol Records albums, mostly recorded with Nelson Riddle; the era many consider the apex of Frank's career. They covered the spectrum from big-band swing ("Songs for Swingin' Lovers") to the blasted, bleak emotional landscape of "In the Wee Small Hours". The latter is the perhaps the most perfect 3:00AM bottle of scotch recording ever made.
Let's see if the board can handle some real heretical topics....
