"Your life gives off a strange halitosis.." amazing. I was still thinkin' about that line while shopping for groceries this eve.

My stuff is so much more conservative..and boring.

There are apparently some songwriters that do the lyric thing first, then fit the music.  For me...it's always been while noodling around on the guitar, I come up with a neat riff or chord progression..then it's...Oh fuck..gotta find some lyrics, nearly like it's offhand, and I know it shouldn't be.   Now one of the greatest lyricists of all time is David Baerwald, but he is also a great musician...so go figure...maybe he can read these posts, and grace us with some "hints"...ie Hint, hint David...ahem...hear our plea.

Frankly, Brad I admire you...it is very brave and "baring" to send the lyric thing in, and I love you for it Bro'...  I have tons of stuff, but suffer from insecurity.

Maybe we should keep  this song thing going, critique and maybe add/embellish each other's material...hmmm..just a thought.

Gotta go..Swervedriver keeps sucking my head through the speakers these days..(I KNOW I have ragged on about them ad nauseum..but seriously..). Now Adam Franklin..lead singer/guitarist for the group can really write some interesting songs.

P.S.

"All you singers, and your lovely songs, you try so very hard to make them all belong.  ..some get taken..others forsaken, but we keep movin', movin' a right along.."  (Paul Cotton 1973...One of America's greatest songwriters IMHO..sparse output..but when he creates one of  his masterpieces....lookout!  eg. "Heart of the Night".
