My friend and co-worker when I was 17 was a guy named James Hoshek.  He was a great gardner and one evening, we went out to the Tivoli theater to watch people protest the film, "The Last Temptation of Christ."  It was fun.  Those folks were nuts!

Now, the same folks are out protesting this new Mel Gibson Film.  I'm amazed at how easily the faith of many Zealots can be shaken.  An Australian Action Film Star makes a film about Jesus and they get all up in arms.  So...just to put you all at ease, I will now perform a bit of art...as I write from the point of Jesus, the Son of God, and his reaction to this film.

"Good evening and thank you for tuning into 'At the Movies' With Jesus.  I'm Jesus and welcome.  Tonight, we're going to have a look a new film by Mel Gibson about the last week of MY life.  Now, the scenery was breathtaking, the score was pretty good and the effects were amazing.  That one scene really brought back some stuff that I'd personally like to forget.  And having Pontius Pilate played by Danny Glover, with him delivering that tired old line, "I'm getting to old for this." just cracked me up.  But the thing that gets my goat is that everyone is getting all mad about it.  I want you all to just remember one thing:

I'm God.  It's going to take a lot more than a MOVIE to bother me.  Go see what I went through.  I'm a big diety...I can take it.  Yes, there were Jewish people who were involved in my crucifixion but, hey, I rose from the dead! I'm over it!  Forgive and forget, right?  And besides, forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't it common knowledge that y'all don't see me as the son of God anyway?  Like I said, that's all water under the bridge.

So...that being said, I'll give it three stars out of four because what's a Mel Gibson film without a car chase anyway?  Next week, we'll look at an Independent Film called, 'PRH: The Guy that Burned in Hell.'  See ya' next time!"
