Yeah....the situation really is not good at all over there. The hospitals in Iraq are a disaster and the people that come in end up worse than they were before they got there. The largest hospital I guess has at least a couple inches or more of raw sewerage on the floors all the time leading to infections for all who get treated...basically you come in with no infection you leave with one.

We seem to be in a position there that leaves us unable to do much to help due to a general need to focus on security issues and what appears to be a lack of a solid plan or strategy. For us Iraq is a political issue but the people there are really in tough shape. I think that won't get much attention either due to the fact that Bushco doesn't want that kind of info out there during an election year and even if the Democrats bother to bring it up...I think Terry should focus on something of value rather than this National Guard stuff...it will get brushed off as "partisan politics" and swept away with nonsense about "Look at all the good we did in Iraq...no one will focus on the good!"

Has anybody seen or heard about what Saddam used to do for healthcare? They used to fly people out of the country...poor people even...at no charge to get them treatment in European hospitals and I think maybe in America too...all the healthcare was free and some called his system one of the most amazing in the world. The Iraqi people loved him for that. It's weird to think about that as all we ever were told was how horrible the guy was to his people but it's true if you do a little research on it and there's a documentary where they talk about it that is narrated by Mr. NRA himself Charlton Heston. I'm not trying to make Saddam look good either so don't come after me for that please...all I'm saying...and it's a point I think I repeatedly try to make...is that we never get all the facts here.
