Nick Drake was one of the best singer/songwriters of the 70's Here's a few more that were purdy darn well as good:
Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gill, Leornard Cohen, Randy Newman, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Kate Wolf, Steve Goodman, Joan Armatrading and James Taylor.
