OK President Pat, I'll go first.Fiscal policy? I'd like to see some budgetary
restraint... I'd like to see more investment in
small business, and less in corporate welfare
and giveaways... I'd like to see the Oil
Exemption go away... I'd like to see more of a
commitment to anti-trust enforcement. I'd like to
see, instead of bloated and unnecessary
weapons systems, more investment in US
infrastructure. I'd like to see more money
invested, rather than thrown away on whimsical
military adventuring.
Foreign policy? I'd like to see the US rejoin the
civilised world, to recognise that Earth is not our
dominion alone. I'd like to see efforts made to
strengthen international treaties and
relationships, rather than abrogating them. I'd
like to see us follow a consistent policy
regarding human rights abuse, rather than just
bringing it up when we want to punish
somebody.
Environmental policy? I'd like to see people
other than corporate lobbyists in charge of the
EPA. I'd like to see an EPA able to establish
and enforce codes as strong as our building
codes.
Energy policy? I'd like to see a massive and
concerted effort to free our selves from
petroleum. I'd like to see millions of Americans
employed in that struggle.
Health care policy? I don't know enough to
comment... Kravitz?
Justice policy? I'd like to see all the
Amendments defended as vociferously as the
right to bear arms. I'd like to see white collar
criminals attacked as severely as pot smokers.
I'd like war-profiteering to be a life-sentence
level crime.
Constitutional policy? Just show it a little
respect.
Religious policy? Separation of church and
state.
Education policy? I personally like the Waldorf
program myself, but really anything that will help
to create a generation of independent and
capable thinkers, who could help all of us get
ourselves out of this bitter mess that our
civilisation has gotten itself into. Now can you show me yours?
