Well, fortunately for me, I live in a Blue state. All my reps are Democrats and they are all engaged in the fight. I've been heavily involved with helping a young lesbian couple for a while. Truth is one of these young women has been like a daughter to me. I've also been helping friends and family members with varying results...some terrible. So, I do stay engaged and have way, way too much on my plate. Topping all that off, I've had some minor health issues of my own to deal with, nothing huge, I am not dying, but even having got my flu shot, I got the damn flu, between that and other issues I lost ten pounds and got badly dehydrated. This led to me passing out, falling flat on my face while going to get a glass of water in my kitchen, and waking up on the floor in a pool of blood. 

Honestly, when I awoke I thought I was in bed, but quickly discovered, nope, on the kitchen floor. Split my chin open, lower teeth went through my bottom lip area. Stumbled upstairs, my wife saw me covered in blood and I ended up in the emergency room. Fun stuff. They stuck me on an IV, tested for pneumonia, but I came back positive for flu. Had to reschedule some minor surgery, which I had done this week, and now I am home, on painkillers, good opioid stuff, and drifting in and out of a conscious state. 

I watched some of J.D. Vance and Pete Hegseth telling Europe we no longer give a fuck and prefer Putin to them and...well...I kept hoping it was just some drug induced dream or hallucination. Sadly, the drugs are good, but not that good. 

I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. For Elon to tell Trump they should just ignore the courts. This is something that would never have happened in our past, but with these two guys...I think it is a matter of time, and probably not very much, until they try it. 

I watched Trump say we were just going to take Gaza, and who gives a shit where the Palestinians go, but it won't be there and they won't be invited back. I saw Hegseth sitting across from Bibi telling him whatever weapons he wants, anything, anything at all, he will have them. In other words, if the Palestinians don't cooperate in leaving their homeland...kill 'em. I'm sure if Mick saw that he was delighted. 

I saw Trump talk about voting and that it must be changed before the midterms. He said there would only be single day voting, no mail-ins, paper ballots only, and you must go in person and provide your state ID. He said these changes must be made immediately. This will of course, drastically cut the number of people that can vote, likely Red states can't wait to do this, but my guess is, this is step one in eliminating voting altogether. This without ever showing we have ever had any issues with voter fraud. As for the fun part, well some of Trump's MAGA loons, and Trump himself claimed the only two fair elections we've ever had in this country were the two that Trump won...everything else they say was fraud. 

How in the living hell people fell for this idiotic criminal is beyond me. He looks like he does not have energy to be there doing the job. Elon seems to be running the show and weirdly, the people that used to be known as "Republicans" seem fine with this. It does not seem to bother them at all that our country has been handed over to a billionaire asshole that actually stood in the oval office taking questions while Trump sat there like a giant orange turd. 

What in the actual fuck? This is our country now. Elon Musk, never on any ballot, Nazi loving prick is just strolling into the oval office to take questions and being totally open that this is his show. His country. He bought it. 

Trump is just there for the ride, it kept him out of jail, and so he just wants a cut and he will stay the hell out of the way. He does not look healthy, so if he drops dead, J.D. Vance becomes president, or does Musk just take over the oval and tell Vance he can remain as VP? 

I need to go take more medication.
