OK, so there was a bizarre press conference in the oval office yesterday that Elon was at. Seeing bits of it was kind of mind-blowing. There was Trump, seated and looking tired, weak, and confused and Musk stood next to him. I learned something new about Musk yesterday, something I did not know about him, he always wants to appear the most high energy person in the room. I guess he brags about not taking breaks, sleeping on the floor so he can jump up and go right back to work. Basically, this serves a couple purposes for him but primarily he wants to demand others do the same as him and that everyone worship his dedication to always working and putting work above all else. He is saying, you are your job and beyond that you are nothing.

Musk must feel like a superman next to Trump who seems barely capable of turning his head. He's one of the most low energy people I've ever seen. They do say opposites attract. Sadly, the press that was there seemed more interested in talking to Musk than the president of the United States. Trump seemed aware of this, it looked like it bothered him but also that he knew Musk was his superior...in basically every way. Trump has always bowed down to those with more money than him and he definitely will do whatever Musk tells him.

This was an amazing sight, the richest man in the world standing in the oval office taking questions from the press about what our government was doing because he was running the show with our president seated meekly beside him like some flunky office boy. If Musk had turned to Trump and asked him to go get him a coffee it would not have surprised me a bit.

Musk smirked, bathed in his power play, and had his usual fuck you attitude toward the rest of the planet. When asked if what he was doing would hurt or upset people, even if it ended in deaths, he said essentially, "This is what people voted for and they are going to get it."

He does not care. He does not care about people, in any way, they either work to serve him or they have no value. None. They can go die for all he cares. Bannon might have this guy pegged. I never really thought I'd give credence to anything Bannon said, but this guy does come across as pretty evil.

In Musk's world there is a dollar value placed on each human life. This is not a new idea, been around a while, I read a horrific paper on it, and the lower the dollar value on your life, the more expendable you are. This is why Trump can say they are just going to remove the Palestinians...their lives have zero monetary value. None. So, it is alright to wipe them out, remove them, take whatever they had, their land, and shove them off somewhere else. They don't contribute a large sum of money to the world economy, their country doesn't contribute, so it can be bombed and bulldozed, and they can be slaughtered or removed, and it can be turned into a for-profit area for others. No questions asked and nobody cares what the Palestinians think...they don't matter.

Now, here is the problem. Basically, our way to fight back against this right now is through the courts. They can halt things with a court order. Musk has been ordered to stop his rampage through our government's info systems. Several other things, violations of the Constitution, have been halted by the courts. Trump has been told he can't erase the Constitution with an executive order.

Now Musk, Trump, Russell Vought they believe the Constitution is already dead. No longer applies, and they are going to be the new law of the land. When someone violates or will not obey a court order they typically are going to get a visit from the US Marshal service and they will be arrested and brought before a judge. The US Marshals fall under the executive branch of the government. The word is what Trump is going to do is to declare nobody in his administration must follow any order or direction from the courts, and the US Marshal service cannot arrest anyone that is working for him for any reason. He will then instruct everyone, Musk and his teenybopper hacking squad, everyone, to continue to violate the law and nothing will be allowed to be done to them. They can't be prosecuted and are in no way subject to the courts.

In many ways Musk is right, Trump told us he does not swear an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution and laws do not apply to him. If he says laws do not apply to him, they also don't apply to anybody doing what he says he wants them to do. It is a free pass for EVERYBODY loyal to Trump. Run rampant, nobody can stop you. Who cares what the courts say.

Now, if that happens, it means, that's it, we've flatlined as a democracy. All over. There is nothing left, no way to combat Musk and Trump doing whatever they want to do...we will be without a Constitution, without a justice system, and MAGA will have control of every aspect of our lives.

I believed that the beginning of this "there is no more law" would be the pardoning of the J6 criminals. This was the first test, the first example that we now do not live in a country where we are loyal to our country, to our Constitution, we now pledge allegiance to a man...yes, just like North Korea, which Trump said he believed was how things should be and what he seems to be working toward. Make the United States North Korea. That should be the real slogan. There will be no law except what Musk and Trump say is the law.

As Musk says...75 million people voted for that and Trump told us all, if you voted for him this would be the last time you would have to vote.

Yesterday, George Conway, not a guy I pay much attention to but knows Trump and these MAGA people, said he thinks Trump is rapidly going to do this and put it to the test. Can you see a group of federal marshals showing up to arrest Trump or Musk for violating court orders? For ignoring what the courts tell them to do? I can't. And if this happens, well, then they know...no need to fight anything in court, no need to take things up to the Supreme Court...they just ignore the courts. The courts will not enforce their orders.

End of democracy because you can't have a democracy if there are no more laws and they have ripped up our Constitution. Why would they not try this? They have to do it before the midterms so nobody votes again.

Like Paul Newman said in that speech, "You are the law." meaning we the people were the law...because we once agreed on what is right and wrong and that we were all subject to the law. If you have a president that says this is not so, he is the law, and 75 million people agree with that and the courts are rendered powerless...he is the law.
