I've stepped backed to about two years ago with Mitchell Froom's "Dopamine" and Neil Finn's "Try Whistling This"
both are inter connected and Froom even produced a couple of Finn's tracks but some pretty amazing dark brooding material once again from Finn. I always though Froom might be appropriate producer for Baerwald, he's amazingly versatile, and has worked with alot of interesting musicians since Crowded House's initial success. Los Lobos for instance with Tchad Blake, McCartney, Pretenders and of course wife Suzanne Vega last two records or shall I say discs. On Neil Finn, I once read an interview were he claimed his two main influences were Leonard/McCartney, Cohen and Paul respectively. Makes since when the bulk of his material has this sad, desolate feel throughout the body of the song until you get to the Gorgeous hope filled light blinding chorus, Listen to Catherine Wheel for one of the best examples off together alone. David thank you for your kind words, we'll be here, patiently, but that doesn't mean were not hungry for more. Tell us more about the film music youv'e been working on. I saw a poster Today for Moulin Rouge, what's it about and how did they get you involved? Will it be available on a soundtrack?, Sounds interesting.
