Richard (and all),
Well, I don't want to just fill up message board space with what I've been listening to , but I would like to open up the quetion in general... I always seem to learn a lot when people hear talk about their current faves.
As for me, I've been mostly listening to David Bowie's "Scary Monsters" (a classic), Giant Sand's "Chore of Enchantment" (a sort of funky low-tech indie-rock country album), Brad Mehldau's "Songs" (amazing jazz piano trio with a great Radiohead cover tune and a Nick Drake cover that ain't bad neither), and Amon Tobin's "Permutation" (an incredible album of "drum-n-bass" music which involves techno-like stuff, samples from every genre under the sun, and a surprisingly melodic, very dynamic sound).
What about the rest of you all? I know I've asked this same boring question before, but I'm always so enthralled by the results...
best wishes,
Scott
