I think we should amend the saying "The media is as liberal as the corporations that own it" to add "And those who advertise on and fund it". The MSM are dependent on advertising and in the case of PBS, corporate funding. Fear of losing those funds is a major driving factor in editorial decisions - it's not good, but it is the way of it. We get the news they pay for.
As for Garland, I think he will be exonerated for slow walking tRump. My view is he's being thorough, dotting I's & crossing T's ensuring water tight cases. All of this research and information will come to light in the Harris administration and serve as a treasure trove of evidence against the MAGA lunacy.
Be patient and calm - it will end.
