So, I know it is aggravating to you to, the things Marc writes here. I honestly am not trying to make a mess of things here. There are only a handful of us posting things and quite obviously we all pretty much agree with each other. 

I am taking Marc at his word, that whatever he is saying here he means. Yeah, the name thing with Letitia James was not a good way to get back into things, I get that, I am just going to take him at his word that he did not mean that the way Trump and Right Wing media nitwits mean it when they say it. I think this is the problem with people like Trump, him doing it and media clowns repeating it causes other people to think it is alright. 

I am just approaching it as, I don't really understand what is going on in someone else's head. It's a blind spot for me. I cringed at the name thing too, I totally get it, David called it out. It was fair game. 

It goes to the heart of what I really am most curious to know from Marc, which is, has anything changed about his take on Trump? 

I recall Marc telling me that he wanted to vote for Trump in 2016 because he wanted to throw the grenade. To blow up whatever it was he saw as wrong with our government. This really, I think, was Trump's appeal to many of his voters. Other people said the same thing to me, one guy I knew made it really clear that he believed Trump was the only guy in politics that would destroy our government and institutions so we would need to start over as a country. Destruction was the reason to support him was the idea. I did not get as deep into that with Marc as I did with this other guy I knew but I found it a bit chilling that the guy was telling me he wanted our government destroyed and our country brought to a point where we needed to start all over again. 

However, I also found this to be the most logical answer to why someone would support Trump, the man is, no question, a destroyer. He did rip a massive hole in this country, he made people, friends, families, hate one another to such a degree that many never speak to each other anymore, and in some cases they have actually killed each other. Trump does inspire hate, anger, and rage like no politician I have ever seen. He knows how to destroy things. 

This alone makes me wonder what his appeal is, why are his followers so devoted to him? I think we often think it must be that their hearts are so filled with hate that Trump just taps into that. I think there is more to it than that. Sure, Trump likes to appeal to racists, and the Nazi types. I believe, this is because Trump knows he can easily claim those voters as his and he knows that like 25% of the Republican voters are these type of people. If he can lock up those voters, and then the other 15% or so on top of them that he seems to own for other reasons, well, then he owns the Republican party. 

He's proved it. He completed his total takeover when he took over the RNC. That's it, it is over. There is no more Republican party. The conservatives, the people that consider themselves regular Republicans, they are quitting and leaving. Ken Buck was not some wishy washy Republican, he has an AR-15 hanging in his office in DC. He was Marc's kind of guy. He quit, because Trump has destroyed the party and loaded it with idiots. 

I wanted to know if Marc is seeing this, if he understands it, if this is what he wants? A party full of Marge Greenes and Lauren Boeberts. Filled with scum like Matt Gaetz and Ron Johnson and Josh Hawley. Jim Jordan and Jim Comers that just do one idiotic thing after another because Trump tells them to. 

Marc threw the grenade, it went off, basically the first thing it destroyed was the Republican party. To do the takeover, he had to destroy them first. Well, he did it. It is finished. The new RNC rules laid out by Eric's wife are, the maximum amount of funds that come into the RNC go directly to Donald Trump, if there is any that can't go to Trump due to laws or rules, it goes to America First, then if there is any spare change left over, it can be discussed and potentially go to other Trump approved Republican candidates. 

That is a death sentence for the Republican party. It means nobody down ballot from Trump in the party will get any kind of support. I wonder if Marc understands that. It means that the "Republican party" is only running a single candidate in 2024...because all the money coming in, goes just to him. 

Trump is the destroyer. He destroyed one of the two major political parties in our country. He's done more for the Democrats than any Democrat has done in 100 years to help them win elections. 

Does Marc grasp this? I have no idea.
