That may have been part of it.
I think the other part was, I always tried to remain stoic and said as little as possible but when I did say something I always tried to make it memorable...so it was funny or insane or just outrageous in some way. That always kept me in everyone's good graces.
That they always enjoyed whatever I might say kept them from killing me.
